#ourNHS - Call to Action! 4th March 2017

As British citizens living post-WWII, the overwhelming majority of us come into this world and depart from it under the care of the National Health Service. It sees us at our best and at our worst, and always when we need it the most. Underappreciated and underfunded, it has weathered epidemics, terrorism, booms in birthing, and the tabloid press - but it will not survive under the onslaught of dissection, strangulation and privatisation devised by the Conservative Government. The Red Cross have called it a humanitarian crisis.

It's time to shout your support for your NHS.

Health Campaigns Together and The People's Assembly have united to organise a protest against the wholesale sell-off of this nation's greatest treasure. On 4th March 2017, thousands of people from all across the country will come together at Tavistock Square at noon, and proceed through the streets of London to the Palace of Westminster to show our love for our NHS, as loudly and as proudly as we can..

To support this demonstration, members of North East Hampshire CLP will be meeting at Farnborough Main Rail Station (Platform 1) to catch the 09:46 train to Waterloo and then go on to Russell Square Underground Station. We aim to arrive there around 11:05. All are welcome, non-members very much included - regardless of our political leanings, the wholesale destruction of our healthcare system affects us all.

Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell is expected to be one of the many speakers on the day. For any further information, please contact Alistair at alistair.sutherland1@ntlworld.com, or send us a message here at the site.
